VPS Updates for Points and Volunteer Opportunities
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for volunteering and here is our latest update. Below is a list of how points are calculated and what teams need to do next. We are a league of 2500 players and about 5000 parents, we need as much volunteer participation as we can get to try and distribute the work load evenly. The 100 points is a benchmark, we will show some latitude for those teams that are volunteering for new jobs, despite a lack of team volunteers.
Some points will be calculated internally, which are marked with an asterisk. If your VPS coordinator does not receive an e-mail from us, your team is on track. If they receive an e-mail, please respond as quickly as possible, as most volunteer opportunities will be on a first come first serve basis.
Point Totals:
Coach - 20
Asst. Coach - 10
Certified Referee (1) - 10- 10 game min. bonus points available for additional games.
Certified Referee (2) - 10- Same as above
*VPS Coordinator - 10 - will not show up in volunteer totals, please calculate manually.
Team Coordinator - 10
*Coach Round Table - 5- Total of 2 meetings, each available for Coach & Asst.
*Referee Round Table - 2- Points changed due to more available meetings.
*Coach Training/Ref Training - 10
Opportunities; For those teams lacking a full volunteer roster.
Adopt-a-Field - 20 - Responsible for lining on Friday, ensuring fields are clean and equipment locked up after each weekend of games throughout the season.

Pre-Season Fields - 10 - Helped with FIRST lay-out and lining of fields.
Fields - 3
New Opportunities:
*Referee Scheduler - 5- Call referees to ensure that they are signed up for 10 game min.
*Trophy Pick-up/Distribution - 3- Transport trophies to our soccer lock-up
*Field Maintenance Day - 5- Replenish equipment boxes, fix goals, etc.
*Select Tryouts - 3- Help with evaluations and organization of Select tryout dates.
